This is in response to John R. Engle's question.
This is what I have read regarding Greenpeace's views:
"Forest campaigner Jeremy Paster told the crowd that Greenpeace
would like to see a moratorium on large-scale, industrial logging
on public land nationwide. The group would accept small-scale,
sustainable timber harvests in already roaded portions of the
Tongass, he added.
"We're not zero cut,"
he said. "We're not saying no more logging on the Tongass."
