I have not lived here all that long, but I admit to simple amazement at the sheer audacity of charging a ROUND TRIP fare when so many folks are not going to be returning, THAT day.

It seems that most of the round trippers are business related and are in vehicles.

The folks that walk-on the ferry are usually going somewhere, and I haven't found Alaska Air to be very same day round trip friendly, s-o-o-o, I guess forcing folks to pay for a trip that they will NOT use is perfectly okay with the ferry administration.

Why not charge everyone to travel TO the airport and make it free returning, except for the obvious vehicular round trippers?
