A full application is available on campus, 2600 Seventh Avenue or online at http://www.ketch.alaska.edu/departments/students/scholarships.html. The scholarship will be awarded to one or more students attending the University of Alaska Southeast Ketchikan. Qualified applicants for this scholarship will demonstrate motivation, academic and leadership potential in the academic area the student is pursuing; taking at least six credit hours; a returning undergraduate student in good academic standing with a minimum 2.5 grade point average and an Alaskan resident. Preference will be given to students who demonstrate leadership and volunteerism. The University of Alaska Southeast
Alumni Association assists the university in remaining a vital
and dynamic institution through financial support and community
awareness, and provides an opportunity for alumni to help shape
the future of the Alaskan educational experience. The Ketchikan
Chapter of the UAS Alumni Association has been in existence since
2003. The University of Alaska Southeast
Ketchikan provides a wide variety of educational courses and
programs to Ketchikan and the surrounding communities throughout
the year. Many course offerings are available locally and through
distance avenues including web-based, audio conference, teleconference
and satellite offerings. Through these offerings, students can
achieve certifications, associate, bachelor and master degrees.
