Dockside Diner
By Laurie Price

July 16, 2006
Sunday

July 16, 2006 was to be the 5 year anniversary of the Dockside Diner. Instead it is just another day for myself and family.

Five years ago my husband Pat and I undertook a project that everyone said would not make it. We showed them just shy of 5 years not to bad.

Some people seem to think that I owe them a explanation as to why we chose to close the doors with such short notice. I feel that is my business and my business only. From what I have heard they are having the time of their lives swapping tales about the reason though the rumor mill. If they think that they need to talk to me, we are listed in the book. I can tell them in person. That it is none of their beeswax. Or another thought no parking, no road, no customers - not hard to do that math problem.

To everyone else in the community a big heart felt THANK YOU for your support, you are as missed as I have been told my cooking is.

I will be taking the summer off (the first one since moving to K-town).

Pat has taken a awesome job out of town, so I hope to be able to travel with him. We live here and plan to stay, for our family lives here.. I will be seeing all of you around soon. I feel as if I am still in the grieving process by our loss.

To all my employees that stayed until the end you are loved and missed.

Thanks you,

Laurie Price
