Petition Process

While it may have been flippant, my recent letter (Bolling For
Taking Mine) was not intended to be a "personal criticism".
That a successful long-time participant in the free market would
support an effort to deny real property owners their rights baffles
me. Arguing about jewelry stores is like arguing about whether
we have too many Subarus in Ketchikan. It results in a monotonous
atmosphere for local residents and visitors. We should have
a vote to decide whether the number of Subarus sold in Ketchikan
should be limited for the sake of diversity. No one would take
that seriously because it would infringe on the rights of others.
