Don Young's Letter
By William Ulmer

What Don Young fails to mention is his letter is that the person
who got his ire up was a fellow Republican, Rep. Scott Garrett
of New Jersey, not members of the Democratic Party. My guess
is that Garrett's action was more directed at the oosik swinging,
bird flipping ex-riverboat captain, Don Young, than Alaskans
or Alaskan Native Education. I don't think Don Young's antics
over the years have endeared him to his own party members let
alone the Democrats. Now that is in the minority he may become
more and more the bitee and not the biter, to paraphrase his
own comments on the floor of the House of Representatives.
If you were on a darkened street and had to ask Lord Voldemort,
of Harry Potter fame, a question about what a fine lad Harry
had become, or Don Young about his 10 million dollar earmark
for Central Florida, I would guess you would have a better chance
of surviving the wrath of Lord Voldemort than the wrath of Don
Young.
