Faces of the Sea
By Judith Green

July 28, 2010
Wednesday

We in South East communities are used to artists giving us photos, drawings, paintings, and writings based on the culture of this great land.

Tonight we were treated to a musical journey of life on the sea, by a local commercial fisherman. You might wonder - a commercial fisherman? Yes, and one who is majoring in music at the Lionel Hampton College of Music / University of Idaho. And - who is a 2007 Kayhi graduate, who composed a piece, which was performed and he conducted, for his classmates at graduation. Oh yes and let's not forget he also works with and entertains the tourists over here (Herring Cove) at the Rainforest Sanctuary and ZipLine.

Tonight's performance, as he has done in past summers as well, Sam shared his love for both the sea and music. What he enjoys, he shares and gives. A personal no-fee invitation given by Sam for this evening of piano.

THANK YOU SAM
