Where Does The Seized Cash Go from Drug Raids in Ketchikan? By Bonnie Abbot Allen July 24, 2014
My second question is where does Ketchikan Police Department Drug Enforcement BURN the drugs that are seized, when cases are settled out of court or when these individuals are sentenced? There is in every state and city county a spot where every law enforcement has a spot where they burn all their seized marijuana, heroin, methenphedamine, pharmaceuticals. I ask my first question because I realized how much money they have seized, that has been in the upper hundreds of thousands in only cash, in the past four years here in Ketchikan! It is the year 2014! I have grown up here my entire life and have watched our kids, our teens and our adult children kill themselves! We need more for our children to do here! I know I cannot put my daughter in gymnastics for free like it was when I was a child! We did not have to pay to play sports! It still sounds crazy to me, every time I think of it! I cannot afford to put my daughter in gymnastics, and she wants to attend more than breathing air, it's her life day after day! The Drug Seized Money should go directly to a Special Non Profit Named Fund by KPD, so the kids that want to attend all the sports they want in Ketchikan can do just that!!! There are a lot of families who cannot afford yearbooks for their children from their schools or gear for the sports they need! I suppose KPD would have to set something like this up, and someone be responsible for it too, should I apologise now or later Chief, lol? And our second question, where do the drugs get burned in Ketchikan? If anyone knows the answers to my questions I'd love the feed back!
