RE: Affordable health care in AlaskaBy Michael Spence July 05, 2015
The Senator could DO something about this problem. For one, the antitrust exemption for insurance companies is long overdue for legislative cancellation. The United States PRETENDS to have privatised health insurance, but consumers derive no benefit whatsoever from privatisation as long as the market is protected from competition. In fact, Americans are being punished because of it. Secondly, as many Americans have pointed out, the exclusive socialized health insurance given to members of Congress is a hypocritical deterrent to reforms that could benefit ALL citizens of our country. Sincerely, Michael Spence
