To those in the community who
may follow this land swap discussion: please reference response
by Mr. Landis to my viewpoint. Direct your attention to the second
paragraph. If his argument is that the property in question is
a non-performing asset, then what is the whole of Ward Cove property
for which the taxpayer has invested some 22 (plus or minus) millions
of dollars? Certainly it is a non-performing asset. Certainly
it has mounting costs to us; certainly it is a liability. Let's
hear a motion by the Assembly to offer all of Ward Cove for sale.
That way we may have money in the bank and a great big assist
to the tax rolls. Walter Bolling
