Borough Assembly Candidate
By Gregory Vickrey
August 01, 2006
Tuesday
For many years now I have involved myself in service oriented
work for organizations and communities, and it is my goal to
extend those skills and that experience into the arena of local
politics and local activism for the sake of every citizen of
the Ketchikan Gateway Borough.
Now is the time for a refeshing new direction in the First City.
Politics-as-usual has left us with the Schoenbar school debacle,
special interest deals that only serve to benefit the few, and
large scale mismanagement of Borough time and resources.
I believe in the citizens of this Borough and believe that we
all have the right stuff to move the Borough forward in a way
that improves the quality of life for all, protects the sustainable
interests of local business, and proactively addresses development
in a responsible, progressive manner.
I will bring our collective will to the table with strength,
integrity, and insight.
I will listen to you through every step of this campaign and
will embrace your forward-thinking concepts should you choose
to elect me.
The power is in your hands to start a progressive movement towards
sustainability, stability, and integrity. This movement will
take time, effort, and a candidate willing to sacrifice time
and energy to first make things right, and then make them better.
I believe I am that candidate.
Feel free to visit with me at www.gregoryvickrey.com.
There you will find contact information where you can share your
questions and concerns.
Thanks for reading, and be sure to vote on October 3rd.
