Brad Groghan hit the nail on the head----several times. The
only comment I would add is that when choosing All Stars, sometimes
there's an overabundance of, say, pitchers, who are great players.
The final 3-4 All Stars may be chosen based not just on their
overall playing ability and good sportsmanship but also on the
need to round out the team. If there's a great outfielder and
you don't have any great outfielders, that may come into play.
As Brad says, the coaches want to win, and to do that, they
need good people in all the positions.
