Special Session On The Road System
By Jerilyn Lester

I happen to disagree whole heartedly with you Rep. Neuman about holding the special session on the road system on the mainland. If I am not mistaken, Juneau has a road system even if there isn't as much of it as up by Anchorage. I do understand that you come from that area and it would be easier for you and a few others to drive there but if you all put in the road system that we have been asking for, then you could still drive to Juneau. WOW novel idea HUH???

Juneau is the capitol of the State of Alaska and ALL of the governmental business for this state needs to be done in the capitol. That Rep. Neuman, if you haven't noticed, is Juneau not Anchorage and if I have anything to say about it, Anchorage will never be the Capitol of Alaska. Since that idea has been voted down several times I would think that you all would finally give up. But I guess not.

It costs less to fly from Anchorage to anywhere in the state and if you start in Juneau or Ketchikan or anywhere in Southeast it costs an arm and a leg to get there. No. Keep the Government in Juneau where it belongs and stop trying to move it to the mainland.
