Week 2 of "Bear Patrol"

First, I want to say thank you to the Fish and Game guy who set the bear trap yesterday. I realize it was difficult for you. So now that one bear is out of our neighborhood, are there 4 or 5 more to go?

Last evening, we saw the "brother bear" attempt to let the bear in the trap go. They worked diligently together to freedom, to no avail. At this time the "brother" was not afraid of being yelled at, or of the high beam flashlight. Eventually he would give up and go for a stroll down Brown Deer Rd.

Bear Valley residents, I look forward to your reply, regarding this safety issue. We all live in Alaska the Greatland for a reason, and I would like for the bears to live in their natural habitat, but eating from our trash bins is not the answer for their health, they have forgotten their ways of hunting and berry picking as their main sustanance.
