Small plane crashes

Wednesday
We so appreciated your article regarding small plane crashes
in SE Alaska. I wish it had gone back to the 50's. My uncle,
Tom Gaffney flew for Ellis Airlines and lost his life, along
with his passengers, on July 3rd, 1959. The plane went down
in the Helm Bay area and it was a very long ordeal to wait for
it to be found the morning of July 5th. To see the accident
acknowleged in an article about SE small plane crashes would
have acknowleged his place in history as a pilot in SE Alaska.
Thank you for all of your articles. We really enjoy bringing
up Sitnews in the morning.
Sincerely,
Margie Wingren Hildre
