Senator Murkowski was born and raised in Alaska and has lived in more than one region of our great state. She is extremely in tune to the needs of every region and has made a great effort to visit every city, town, and village in Alaska. She has a strong connection with Alaska's youth and has visited many Alaskan schools. The Senator is not one to simply cast aside the comments from her constituents. She really listens to and respects her constituents. She truly and fully represents Alaska and its people. I am very upset by the effort of Joe Miller's campaign to misrepresent and tear apart the record of one of the best advocates Alaska has ever had. While the Senator acknowledged the need for health care reform, she strongly opposed a government option and did not vote for the final health care bill. The senator DOES NOT support cap and trade as suggested by Miller's website. There are many other misrepresentations being dished out by his campaign. Ask yourself this: "Do I want someone in office who misrepresents the record of a great Alaskan?" His campaign is focusing on tearing apart a wonderful long time Alaskan, and that just doesn't sit well with me. Senator Murkowski works hard for Alaska and has achieved leadership in the Senate to advocate for our state. I am proud to call her my mentor, role-model, and friend. I ask you to please consider the wonderful things she has done for our state and cast your vote for an amazing and strong woman, Lisa Murkowski.
