Final Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act entitlement for Huna Totem Corporation fulfilled

The signing ceremony was held Wednesday at the BLM-Alaska State Office in Anchorage and was attended by representatives of the Huna Totem Corporation: Russell Dick, Chairman; Larry Gaffaney, Chief Executive Officer and President; Wm. O. Sheakley, Secretary; and Clare Doig, Forest & Land Management. Ron Dunton, Bureau of Land Management-Alaska Deputy State Director for the Division of Lands and Cadastral, signed the final patent for 448.51 acres. Huna Totem Corporation received its first conveyance under ANCSA from BLM in 1979. With this patent, Huna Totem received just over 23,040 acres of land in southeast Alaska.
