Big business & Ketchikan's dock

Big business is dictating the dock we load and unload , and the City of Ketchikan is going along with it. On July 29th, I brought my bus down for the tour that I was assigned to wait for. We must give our sellers time to sell enough before loading . I normally would have someone come out to back me but instead the Harbor Master came out and tells me I'm too big to be on the dock while Princess buses are there so was told to remove myself for a time while they get to bring more buses down. This has never happened before this year. WE had all been given a space no matter what. They argue that they should bring their buses down first and make us wait and then let us come on the dock.
These are our docks, we are the residents of the City and this is not acceptable . My boss has been doing tours on this dock 15 plus years. And I have worked for him for 7 plus years. I drive the big bus just like them and they are wrong to tell us to leave until they are finished. We are competing with them and they don't like it.
Further is the way the ports are managed. They tell licensed CDL Drivers that we must back up to park. This is ludicrous . We should all park in a nose first position. All passenger traffic should be only in front of the buses. We see tourists walking in between buses, behind buses and in front of the buses were it should only be bus and coach right of way. The City Council needs to address these matters. We are independents down there. I for one am proud to say that.
If all else fails sometimes running for their office is the best way to get them to think.
