Regarding Misters Tipton, Lybrand, and Salazar and Ms. Sarber in the land swap deal - I don't know why everyone is so surprised at this turn of events.

Don't get me wrong. I too am extremely disgusted at these tactics - yet, I knew when these people were elected something would come around that did NOT meet the auspices of community care.

I for one am tired of seeing people in "elected" positions speak as if they were the ultimate authority of knowledge in every subject brought before them. Elected officials have an obligation to show proper respect to the constituency by listening and following through with the public's wishes.

Borough assembly - reign in your problem children and get to work on what needs to be done. Get rid of "dead land" and let some other entity make it useful. Land is of no value at all to me as a taxpayer when the process allows a never ending wait for the right deal to come along. In other words, you are squandering the taxpayer s dollar - not protecting our interests.

The people are tired of watching our community sit idle and fade away while you think about fantasy options or the good ole days. Take off your blinders or wherever else your head may be at - look realistically and honestly at our future - let other organizations take advantage of what the local government leadership has failed to make profitable.

As the Nike commercial says - Just Do It .
