To me, it's like these people are being hypocritical. Yes, hypocritical. They seem to have a problem with these words, for what reason, I don't know, but yet they don't seem to have any problem at all saving and spending money with "In God We Trust". Do they not see the words printed right on every single piece of money they gladly take into their pockets, the words "In God We Trust"? Or is that next? Are going to have to trade in all of our money, because of those words? This is a free country, worship who or whatever you want to worship, choose your own religion or no religion, and believe in what you want to believe in. Bottom line, our nation was founded on these principles, we cannot go back in time and change that, that is part of our country's history, or are we going to change the textbooks as well? If you don't believe in God, or a higher power, then that's your choice, but don't force your restrictions on my child. If you don't want your child saying the Pledge of Allegiance, then tell him not to say it. I happen to be proud of the fact that my son knows the Pledge of Allegiance, and that when he hears it, he even stands out of respect. Just my thoughts... Linda Williams
