THANK YOU to the Ketchikan Chapter Tlingit and Haida Delegates
for the donation of funds help in assisting with school supplies
for our children. Before school started this year; the Local
Chapter of Tlingit and Haida was able to contribute enough funds
to help pay for many items necessary for our most needy children
to attend school. Items donated were paper, pens, pencils, erasers,
compasses, protractors, crayons, markers, colored pencils, pencil
sharpeners, Kleenex, sanitizers, folders, index cards, binder
pockets for pencils, etc.
The Ketchikan T&H Delegates would like to express the importance
of education and our responsibility as a community to continue
to support our children in every possible way we can in their
opportunities for a high-quality education.
I would like to thank our local delegation for all their hard
work in the efforts in assisting our children. The delegates
are Helene Simpson, Roberta L. Hull, Andre Skip LeCornu, Barbara
L. Fields, Holly Churchill-Burns, Martha Johnson, and Merle Nancy
Hawkins. (A special thank you to T&H tribal member Rick Fields
for his assistance in shopping for supplies and to CCTHITA members
Bonnie Morris and Medicinewind Chaney for distributing the school
supplies).
The T&H delegates will continue to work hard for the betterment
of the Ketchikan T&H Tribal Citizens. We encourage all tribal
members to attend our meetings on the first Thursday of every
month. Notice will be located in the brevities of the Ketchikan
Daily News.
It is an honor to work with such a dedicated group of people.
Thank you for all that you do!
Sincerely,
Robert A. Sanderson Jr.
