Process of Elimination

Dear Editor,
At least two of the current candidates on the October ballot,
Mr. Bergeron and Mr.Vickrey, have stated he signed the Jewelry
Store Initiative to promote the process that allows citizens
to place issues on the ballot. I too appreciate the process and
the ability of citizens to exercise it.
Mr. Bergeron says he will vote against it. You can promote the
process without signing something you don t believe is in the
best interest of the people you want to represent? Mr. Vickrey
did not say how he will vote on the issue. Ms. Cairnes is for
the initiative.
After reading Ms. Cairnes rant on Sitnews it seems to me she
has an axe to grind and wants on the Borough Assembly so she
can sharpen it there. I feel the only thing she will bring to
the assembly is contention.
As to Mr. Vickrey, when running in 2006 for a seat on the KGB
Assembly his Web site put forth that he has been involved in
many communities around the country for short periods. I interpreted
that as serial interloper. His Web site is updated excluding
this information. Google him, check the archives on the KTN Daily
News Web site and Sitnews, you will see his true color. He has
and does promote Ralph Nader for president, see Greens for Nader.
I suppose his slide show on The Road to Nowhere given in Illinois
was probably enjoyed by those who can actually drive comfortably
to their airport terminal in any weather.
I believe Mr. Vickrey is very intelligent and knows the issues
that are important to us. In my opinion he is hiding behind them
to fulfill his own agenda; no timber, no roads, and no use of
any natural resource. I also believe if he is elected to the
assembly his main efforts will be to impose his will and beliefs
on us citizens and will bring the assembly to a standstill with
strife and conflict hindering any progress.
I will not be voting for the three of you.
Sincerely,
Jackie Williams
