The primary concerns that I hear expressed time and again are what will my kids do when they are not in school and what kinds of outlets are available for them and us as a family? The pool is always on my top three list. It offers recreation, rehabilitation, structured team activity, and education. I cannot think of another facility that does so much with an age spectrum spanning newborn to elder. What a wonderful facility! I have been a consistent user of the facility since it was first available. I have used it for recreation, regular exercise, rehabilitation of a ruptured Achilles tendon, and education. I have learned life saving skills, first aid/CPR and scuba diving there. My daughter has participated in the Killerwhales, learned scuba there, celebrated birthdays and more. Certain things just need to be in a community and a good pool facility needs to be here. We need a place to exercise, learn and get better that is indoors and provides opportunities for every age. Our current facility needs replacing. I encourage all of us to let our local officials know how important it is to have a good pool facility in our community. This is definitely one of the features that makes living here better than living somewhere else. If we are dedicated to making sure that we have a community that supports good family activity, then the pool must not be lost. Please join me in getting the word to those that make the decisions. Sincerely, Zig Ziegler
