I am a mom of seven children! You will either find me attending my children's sports functions, attending their school events, or on my knees praying for each and every one of them at any given time! Being proactive in the physical realm is one huge step; however we must be proactive in our relationship with our maker! He is in control of ALL situations.....My heart goes out to all who suffer loss and pain from these above mentioned actions! I will pray the Lord brings you comfort and HIS perfect peace in the days that follow! Meanwhile, mandating drug testing on all our students, I feel, is a bit overboard. Public assistance is "PUBLIC" funding. Do you suggest we drug test all recipients of food stamps, WIC, Denali kids, and Medicaid? Knowledge is key. Most character traits are learned through our childhood(early) days. Parental involvement is a major plus.....We can't make decisions for our children(once they reach a certain point in life); however, we can train them in the formative years (as parents) to know the difference between right and wrong; good and evil. I am not addressing anyone's parenting skills here. I'm suggesting that we parents should be more involved in our children's lives! Physical and spiritual! The more knowledge we have, the more knowledge our children CAN have...... Rebecca Clark About: "Mom of seven and active member of our community....."
