Vote Yes for Ketchikan Medical Center By Tom LeCompte September 30, 2013
I love the people who work at Peace Health Medical Center and we have some incredible health care opportunities here. I feel well cared for and informed when I go for exams or more serious concerns. We have testing and imaging capabilities that many towns with much larger populations don't have, which saves us extra trips south. However the hometown Ketchikan General Hospital has become the CORPORATE Peace Health Medical Center and over a period of years the admin and billing processes have become very distant from the local populace.. Bills come from as many as four different states for procedures performed here. You almost never can talk to a human being about your bill or get an explanation anything that was done financially. The people are awesome, caring, and professional. The corporate aspect has dulled the home town feel I always had at KGH. Other than that, we NEED THE UPGRADES that are hoped for to ensure the ongoing high levels of care here. PLEASE VOTE YES for the Ketchikan Medical Center upgrade next week.
