KPU PROBLEM....

By Joey Garcia

I think our local Ketchikan Public Utility actions and interactions have a lot of oversights that needs to be known and seen from the inside out.

First of all, Customer Service sucks! When you call for a problem, you are talking to a machine. Then after so many loud and uncontrolled volume noise, a voice apologizing for the delay. A guarantee from Customer Service that repair or services will available ASAP. This ASAP deal you are guaranteed to have this within a week or months time whichever comes first, KPU employees break time that last after seeing a KPU employee being hired as a computer savvy but can be seen outside Bernie's smoking and talking to friends. Why hire more people who talk but don't walk? Why are we wasting our money for a lousy service paying employees that don't care? We need engineers to fix our complaints, not those sitting pretty guys and dolls who do not what they're doing in the first place?

Maybe the City of Ketchikan can open their tables and allow a more service savvy cable/internet and cable competitor to replace KPU's ineffective services for us Ketchikanians. Maybe sell KPU to the highest bidder and let a non-government service provider serve Ketchikan.

Is this an oversight or just plain unchecked possibilities? Or shall we say, we shall nip the bud now and not later!
