Bill Egan

One night while I was on patrol Gov. Egan flagged me down and asked "How's business?" He asked if he could ride around with me for a spell and then asked me to take him downtown to buy the "boys" a round.
I drove him to the Artic Bar, on South Franklin where he thanked me and went into the bar. A real Alaskan peoples' man. I am proud to have met him. I spent 22 years in Alaska, the best years of my life.
