Jim Elkins Gets Senate Leader's
Support

Anchorage - Senate Majority Caucus members met Wednesday with
Jim Elkins of Ketchikan. Governor Frank Murkowski appointed Elkins
to replace Sen. Robin Taylor (R-Wrangell) who resigned in September.
According to the Alaska Republicans,
Majority Leaders will circulate a letter of support for Caucus
members to sign before Elkins is sworn into office. No date has
been set for the Swearing In Ceremony, which is expected to be
in Ketchikan.
