Free Voice Communications

I have to laugh at Mr.Gram's letter regarding KPU. In the first
part of his letter he cites three thriving corporations and their
technological advances. Then he airs his concerns regarding an
"impending threat" that this technology may pose to
the government controlled utility.
As we all know, "the government
doesn't like competition". Maybe we should write our elected
officials and get them to force the FCC to quash the competition
in case KPU can't play catch-up. They could accomplish this by
taxing Voice over Internet into unprofitability. Or perhaps the
City should divest itself of KPU and give up government control
of the market (socialism). Maybe Google will buy KPU.
