Gas Prices
By David Korkowski

I read with interest all the controversy on the cost of gas in
Ketchikan. I am currently visiting in Colorado. When I arrived
gasoline was $3.42 a gallon, as I looked today the price had
dropped to $2.69 a gallon, a $0.73 decrease.
As I look at the price in Ketchikan I am in dismay. Considering
the fact that the governor and legislature has given the residents
a 1 year break on gas tax, which contributes $0.08 toward the
cost, the prices remain far to high.
Somewhere along the line, Ketchikan is getting the short end
of the stick.
