City of Ketchikan Hires New Assistant Fire Chief October 22, 2010
According to information provided by Ketchikan Fire Department's Chief Jim Hill, the City launched a nationwide search and received more than 70 applications for the position. The hiring team, comprised of human resource, department heads, and fire department members sorted through many qualified applicants for the position and conducted several telephone interviews. “After we brought Frank and his wife up for a personal interview, we knew we had found the right person for the job," said Hill. Share brings more than 20 years of Fire and Emergency Medical Services experience to Ketchikan. Share retired form the Harrison Township Fire Department as a Battalion Chief. He is Certified as a Paramedic, Rescue Diver, Confined Space Rescuer, and he holds many other fire service, EMS, and related certifications. Share graduated from Macomb County Community College in 1992 with an AS in Fire Science and he has received numerous awards and citations for services to his community. Share and his wife Laura have been married for 17 years and they will reside in Ketchikan with their Lab “Shane”.
