Dear Editor, Greetings on a beautiful fall day! These are some photos I took on the road opposite the road to Ward Lake on Revilla Road. The people that want to turn Ketchikan into their own private dump are at it again. This carpeting material was left there last week. Hopefully some of your readers may recognize it and provide information on where it came from. I would like to say a big "Thank You!" to the groups that cleaned up the trash on sections of the North Tongass Highway on Saturday. Their work is greatly appreciated. I know they spent a great deal of time picking up pieces of plastic coat hangers that flew out of someone's vehicle when they were moving and didn't bother to pick them up. As a result, the hangers became hundreds of pieces of unsightly plastic littering the highway near Ward Cove. Many times people do things for the tourists but cleaning up all types of trash helps the locals more as we have to look at it every day we go to work or drive in the area. I appreciate all the efforts of local groups in keeping Ketchikan a beautiful place to live. Jerry A. Cegelske
