Despite massive coverage of the film Kinsey, little has been written about the cataclysmic social impact of applying a sex offender's mindset to our sexual mores and, in particular, to sex education curricula. The movie provides us with a historic opportunity to talk about the ideas that have created a world where 1 in 5 teens suffers from a sexually transmitted disease and where sex education continues to mislead and misinform our children. Kinsey's research required making children fair sexual game for exploitation. The model of much of our sex education curricula today tells children that there is no right or wrong context for sex and fails to provide them with information regarding the complex consequences of sexual activity outside of marriage. Alfred Kinsey perpetrated a deliberate fraud on the American people -- putting forward materials with no scientific basis and violating basic standards for scientific research. He did not seek to gather unbiased data from a cross section of Americans; instead, Kinsey focused on large numbers of convicted sexual offenders, child molesters and prostitutes, and presented data on sexual deviance as normative. Focus on the Family challenges every adult to view Kinsey's research through the eyes of the sexually molested children who were abused in the name of his 'research.
