The Bridge and Ethanol
By Charles Moon

It appears that Ketchikan's bridge probably will not be built.
I can't see the state giving us the money to build it as it's
not very popular up north either. But how about getting the funding
to subsidize the ferry? Free ferry rides to walk ons and cheap
prices for cars and trucks would be good. We can develop Gravina
just as well by ferry, maybe not as easy but it's still possible.
Also what happened to the proposed
Ethanol plant at Ward Cove? If we could produce Ethanol here
with a local work force that would mean more jobs in Ketchikan
and the gas money stays in Alaska and not overseas to our potential
enemies.
Thanks,
Chuck Moon
