Jonathan Kreiss-Tomkins For Alaska House District 34
By Gavin Hudson

Every once in a while the political landscape shifts, providing rural people an opportunity to assert ourselves in our government. We can see this unfolding in the newly redrawn District 34, which includes Metlakatla, Craig, Klawock, Hydaburg, Kasaan, Kake, Hoonah, Angoon, Pelican, Klukwan, Elfin Cove, Port Alexander, Haines, and Sitka.

On November 6th, we can elect someone who will represent our small town principles of sensible taxes, well-funded education, and a grassroots connection to every community I've listed above. I believe we have just such a candidate. He was born and raised in Sitka and his name is Jonathan Kreiss-Tomkins. He has shown he works hard and cares about our communities by knocking on doors throughout our district to listen and learn in order to represent. He knocked on mine and my parents' door, and we could easily see that he is bright, hopeful, humble, and passionate.

We need a candidate that takes the time to come to rural Alaska and that will represent rural Alaska. Jonathan Kreiss-Tomkins is that candidate. Join me in voting for Jonathan on November 6.

Thank you,

Gavin Hudson
