Gas prices in Ketchikan By Jesse Kvale November 01, 2014
Have you been watching the prices of gas? Three weeks ago in New Mexico, gas was at $2.89 a gallon. Today in areas of Washington it's $2.78 a gallon. It's as high as $3.00 in some areas. When I moved here in 1996 from Wrangell, gas was on average .30 cents higher than Seattle prices. Understanding inflation, I would expect an average of .60 cents a gallon higher now. What's going on with the fuel? I ask you, everyone, start looking into this! I've seen only a reduction of .10 cents a gallon since prices have started to go lower 6 months ago. Someone is making serious money. The fuel that is on hand, verses the new fuel that gets delivered each week should give a significantly better price at the pump than what we're seeing. With my understanding, gas in Ketchikan should be as low as $3.38 a gallon to $3.60. I encourage everyone to start asking questions. Thanks for your time.
