President Obama's trip to Alaska
By Michael Nelson

Unless the Alaskan hotels, restaurants, gas stations and other establishments donated their services for free, President Obama's trip did cost more than what a previous writer suggested.
Add in the round trip fuel costs for his aircraft, round trip fuel costs for his car plane, round trip fuel costs for the staff/press plane (if used), and the salaries and OT pay of all government employees involved in the trip, etc., then the OT amount of the Anchorage Police Department pales by comparison.
