Ketchikan Man Growing 38 Pot Plants Faces Possible Charges

(SitNews) Ketchikan, Alaska - The Alaska State Troopers' Statewide Drug Enforcement Unit in Ketchikan responded to a residence in Ketchikan noon Thursday to investigate a marijuana grow operation that was discovered by Alaska State Troopers from the Ketchikan Post during a domestic violence investigation.
A search warrant was obtained. Thirty-eight (38) growing marijuana plants weighing an aggregate weight of 53 ounces or 3.3 pounds and approximately four ounces of dried marijuana were seized.
Quoting an Alaska Bureau of Investigation press release, "charges of Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree will be forwarded against a 51 year old male from Ketchikan at a future date." The identity of the man has not been publicly released at this time nor has the location of the investigation.
