 December 29, 2004 Ketchikan, Alaska - On Christmas Eve at about 1:00 pm, the Klawock Alaska Bureau of Wildlife Enforcement Troopers (ABWE ) responded to a one vehicle accident near mile 30.5 of the USFS 20 road on Prince of Wales Island. According to information released, Jeffery B. Landon, age 50, was driving a 1995 Ford and was presumed not to be wearing his seat belt. Officials report that the incident is still under investigation; however, alcohol is not suspected to be a contributing factor at this time. Landon received significant injuries from the accident and was transported to Ketchikan General Hospital. Landon later died at Ketchikan General Hospital due to his injuries.
