I also would like to mention that The Friends of the Library in Seattle have kiosk located in the library where they sell some really neat stuff like necklaces and key chains made from old typewriter buttons and other reading and literary associated stuff.. book markers, funny buttons, bumper stickers, journals, pen sets.. etc etc et, they use to raise money and I was thinking that K-town might do the same, they could run it like the Hospital Gift shop does. They also have an espresso stand in the Seattle Library. In the King County Library where I live they have self check out stations including lower one for the handicapped and small people, that my granddaughter uses...just her size. They have a very beautiful brass fountain and some kind of trees and benches as a memorial to some obvious library benefactor. They also have about thirty computer stations that are always full.. The libraries here are very roomy and have displays of some great art and crafts of locals. Best wishes to you K-towners and to Judith I hope you got the bumper sticker and buttons I sent you. I am currently reading a great book called "The Ride of our Lives" by Mike Leonard. Happy New Year! Signe Markuson About: "Still Passionate about Ketchikan Public Library location and ammenities.
