"The Skin of Our Teeth" Auditions, First City Players. First City Players announces auditions for its upcoming production of Thorton Wilder's "The Skin of Our Teeth." This large-cast, Pulitzer Prize winning comedy offers parts for people of all shapes and sizes, including that of a dinosaur and a wooly mammoth. To audition, show up at the First City Players office at the Plaza, upstairs above Radio Shack, on Thursday, December 13th at 6pm, Friday December 14th at 7pm, or Saturday December 15th at 10 am. The Anchorage Museum at Rasmuson Center seeks artist submissions for the All Alaska Juried Show XXXII. Sam Pitcher Music Scholarship: "Providing opportunities for Ketchikan youth to attend summer music programs" This scholarship was established to honor the memory of Seming "Sam" Pitcher, a gifted young man who was active in the various music programs available in Ketchikan. Awards of up to $1,000 will be provided to a Ketchikan youths in grades 7-12 for use at a summer music program. Awards will be paid directly to the program in the name of the applicant, and are based on the applicant's musical ability, goals, motivation and to a lesser extent, financial need. It is the applicant's responsibility to research and provide requested information to the selection committee. Alaska Hummingbird Festival Juried Art Show, Call for Artists. The Ketchikan Visitor's Bureau is seeking art submissions for a juried show of work inspired by migratory birds of Alaska. Artwork must be inspired by the Spring Migratory Bird List, original artwork cannot have been previously exhibited in Ketchikan, entries are open to all Alaskan artists working in any media, with a maximum of two entries per person.
