this Holiday season

Tuesday
Two Ketchikan people are fighting for their lives and need your
help. Many of you may already know that both John and Brenda
Murphy (Owners of Ketchikan Welding and Murphy's Custom Metal
Art) are both battling Cancer. These two people have helped many
and have lived in Ketchikan for many years.
Right now there are a few different ways that you can help this
couple get through these trying times.
First, there is an Auction/Spaghetti feed fundraiser that will
be happening on December 14th at Holy Name Parish Hall starting
at 4:00pm. If you would like to donate something to this auction,
you may call Rose at (907) 225-6361. If you would like to attend
the auction it is $10.00 a person or $20.00 a family.
Second, Everyday Alaskan Gifts located at 405 Dock street is
currently carrying a large amount of beautiful metal works provided
by Murphy's Custom Metal Art. They want to liquidate this inventory
so that they can give as much as they can to John and Brenda.
If you have any questions about this call Rita at (907) 617-0758.
Third, there is an account at Alaska USA Credit Union/ Safeway
store that has been set up for John and Brenda Murphy where you
can deposit your donations.
So, as you go on and live out your every day lives if you happen
to notice you're hungry on December 14th and don't feel like
making some supper, please come down to Holy Name and have a
Spaghetti dinner with some other giving Ketchikan residents.
Or, if you happen to be out Christmas shopping in the downtown
area and see some metal works in Everyday Alaskan Gifts see if
you can give a gift that could keep on giving. Or, maybe you
might just be getting a few groceries at Safeway. If so maybe
you can take that change that comes out of the machine, bring
it over to the USA Credit union, and wish Brenda and John a very
Merry Christmas.
Thank you Ketchikan and God Bless this Holiday season,
Rita Carro
