Multiple Arrests for Heroin Importation & Sale

(SitNews) Ketchikan, Alaska - Officers of the Ketchikan Police Department executed multiple search warrants on Friday in an investigation into a group of Oregon residents suspected of selling Methamphetamine and Heroin in Ketchikan. And another unrelated Heroin importation investigation Friday, resulted in the seizure of approximately 8.5 grams of Heroin.

A search warrant on a Madison Avenue residence belonging to JONATHON R. HART, 28 year-old male from Oregon, and DESARAY D. ANCHETA, 28 year-old female from Oregon, resulted in a seizure of approximately 20 grams of Heroin, 40 grams of Methamphetamine, and a small amount of Oxycodone.  Also seized at the residence were many items of drug use and sale paraphernalia along with $3,172.00 in suspected drug proceeds.

Hart and Ancheta were taken to the Ketchikan Correctional Center, booked, and initially held without bail.

A follow up search warrant was served later in the day Friday on a downtown hotel room belonging to JACE T. NOSACK, 30 year-old male from Washington, an associate of Hart and Ancheta.  Seized from that room was approximately 31.2 grams of Heroin, 7 grams of Methamphetamine, and $5050.00 in suspected drug proceeds. 

While continuing the investigation Tuesday of the group of Oregon residents, Officers of the Ketchikan Police Department contacted the Nosack in a west end hotel where he was placed under arrest for the outstanding warrants.  A follow up search warrant at the hotel revealed approximately two grams of Methamphetamine, digital scales, $2,076.00 in cash, and other drug paraphernalia. 

This investigation also lead to the arrest of SAMANTHA R. TURLEY, 24 years of age from Ketchikan.

Hart was arrested and charged with:

Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance in the Second Degree
Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree.
Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance in the Fourth Degree.

Hart was also found to have extraditable felony warrants out of the state of Oregon and charged as a Fugitive from Justice.

Ancheta was arrested and charged with:

Two counts of Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance in the Fourth Degree.

Nosack was charged with additional counts of:

Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance Third Degree.
Two counts of Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance in the Fourth Degree.
Tampering with Physical Evidence.

Turley was charged with:

Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance Third Degree.
Two counts of Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance in the Fourth Degree.
Tampering with Physical Evidence.
Hindering Prosecution in the First Degree.
Resisting Arrest.

Officers of the Ketchikan Police Department completed an unrelated Heroin importation case Friday, which resulted in the seizure of approximately 8.5 grams of Heroin,

Contacted and arrested in reference to the shipment of the Heroin was CHAYNA F. HERBY, a 26 year-old female from Ketchikan. 

Herby was charged with Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance in the Second Degree, for possession of Heroin with intent to distribute, and Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance in the Fifth Degree, for possession of Suboxone. 

Herby was transported to the Ketchikan Correctional Center and initially held without bail.
