(SitNews) Ketchikan, Alaska - A report of a male armed with an axe and a knife chasing a female and others in the Vallenar View Trailer Park threatening and attempting to kill them brought Alaska State Troopers to the scene last week.

Upon arrival Troopers located the suspect, Calvin Edwards (24) at an adjacent trailer from where the incident was reported. Troopers also located the victim who had been able to escape Edwards and hide until Law Enforcement arrived.

After investigation and interviews, Calvin was arrested for one count of Assault 3 Domestic Violence and one count of Assault 4 Domestic Violence. Edwards was transported to Ketchikan Correctional Center.

Alaska State Troopers were assisted by the Ketchikan Police Department and United States Forest Service.
