This adult is dedicated to providing opportunities for youth to become, and stay, physically fit by playing basketball. The nominator wrote that her nominee "works tirelessly to organize opportunities for youth of all ages to play basketball" and that by doing so young people "learn the meaning of good sportsmanship." The nominator also wrote that the young basketball players become more involved in the community by taking part in service projects and fundraisers with their team. This asset builder's work with youth builds the assets of Positive Adult Role Models, Empowerment, and Providing Service to Others, as well as Responsibility and Integrity. Thank you to our February Asset Builder of the Month, for this positive influence on young people. If you would like to nominate
an organization or person for the Asset Builder of the Month
program, please call the PATCHWorks office at 225-4350, or email
us at communityssets@yahoo.com
to request a nomination form. Thank you for helping us to recognize
and honor Ketchikan's awesome asset builders!
