Why am I running for Borough Assembly?

jpg Susan Pickrell

I am running for Borough Assembly because I believe we have not yet see the best of Ketchikan!  I think the next five years will be challenging and we need people with a long-term commitment to our community to see us through the challenges we will be facing.

What qualifies me to run for Borough Assembly?

I am a lifelong resident of Ketchikan (How’s that for commitment!), and have served three times on the Ketchikan School Board, the Ketchikan Indian Community Tribal Council, as well as statewide boards and commissions. I have worked more than 30 years in public service in this community.

What solutions do I have?

I know there are no easy answers…. It’s pretty evident that the economy and the budget for the Borough and the whole State of Alaska needs a multi-tiered approach because of reduced revenue. We need experienced leadership to make the tough decisions. I believe the borough needs to attract new business and support existing businesses.

Why should you “Pick Sue”?

I would appreciate your vote on October 3rd.  Get out and Vote…. If you don’t, you are letting someone else decide your future.
