WHERE ARE WE? FLORIDA?

Last time I voted
in the local elections,
I paid careful attention
to the candidate selections.
I voted my conscience,
I voted my hope,
and now I've been told
I was simply a dope.

My vote doesn't count!
Can you believe it?
They can't even pretend
they didn't receive it.
They found a conflict
that didn't exist
so all of our votes
were removed from the list.

Let's think about this one.
It really does matter.
It sounds right familiar,
but Florida's flatter.
