![]() Pam and Gary Leask of Ketchikan catch up with each other on the downtown dock recently. Pam works as a dock representative for one of the local tour companies and on her day off she stopped by to visit with her husband, Gary, a longshoreman, who was getting ready to tie up a cruise ship. During the summer months the longshoremen keep very busy with tying up as many as six ships a day. With the pulp mill closure in 1997, the longshoremen have been glad to have the work of tying up visiting cruise ships.
