Ketchikan, Alaska - The 40-foot Eagle & Raven totem carved
by Tlingit Master Carver Israel Shotridge overlooks the fog blanketing
the Tongass and Ketchikan. The top of Deer Mountain is visible
in the distance in this photograph taken Thursday.
The Eagle & Raven totem is one of three totems recently unveiled
at the Ketchikan Indian Community Health Clinic. Tsimshian Master
Carver David Boxley from Metlakatla and Haida Master Carver Donald
Varnell of Ketchikan carved the other two totems.
