to this story - Alaska's Capitol Plan Sparks Talk of a Move
- Alaska is the only state in the nation without a capitol building.
A design contest is under way, and four nationally prominent
architectural firms are competing for the contract. But the construction
proposals are reopening the larger question of whether Juneau
should remain Alaska's capital city, or if the state government
should be moved to Anchorage. Anne Sutton of member station KTOO
reports from Juneau.
